Patrick Cronin’s parents frustrated by ‘brutal’ legal process
The parents of Patrick Cronin have expressed their frustration with the legal system, describing it as “brutal.”
Matt and Robyn Cronin joined Neil Mitchell in studio on Monday following the sentencing of his killer.
Patrick was killed by a coward’s punch after he came to the aid of a friend during a fight outside a pub last year.
They have wanted to speak publicly for a while, but been forced to remain quiet due to the legal process.
‘There’s one word that I’ve used about the whole process and that’s brutal – that’s what it is,” Mr Cronin said.
“The rights of the victims are next to non-existent.
“That’s how you feel.
“I think we were very naive.”
