Pat Cronin Foundation launches free app to help keep young Victorians safe over festive season

The family of Pat Cronin has launched a free app, with the aim of helping young Victorians keep safe over the festive season.

Cronin was killed in a coward punch attack in 2016.

Matt Cronin, Pat’s father, said the app used special geofencing technology to send a message to those with the app who were about to enter an area, such as a sporting event, or nightclub precinct, reminding them to look out for themselves and their friends.
