Passengers reluctant to offer seat
A woman who is eight months pregnant has told Tony Jones she is regularly forced to stand when catching the train as commuters will rarely offer her a seat.
Vanessa emailed 3AW Mornings saying throughout her pregnancy she has only been offered a seat ten percent of the time, despite there being allocated seats for commuters who are pregnant or have special needs.
‘I’m just extremely disappointed with the lack of empathy society now show on trains toward people like me with special needs,’ she told Tony Jones.
‘Even when I’ve made my way over to those seats specifically allocated to me, no one stands.’
