Part of Federation Square to be destroyed for new flagship Apple store

Tech giant Apple is moving into Federation Square.

But not everybody is happy about it.

As first mooted on The Rumour File nearly two years ago, Apple will build a flagship store in the heart of the city.

However, it will lead to much of the river side of Federation Square being demolished.

Garth, in his 60s, rang 3AW Mornings to vent his anger.

“I will do anything and everything to stop this activity of Apple ripping apart Federation Square for their commercial benefit,” he declared.

“I think it’s the most appalling and disgraceful thing I have heard of in respect to a major public site.

“I will go to jail to stop this.”
