Parliamentary inquiry recommends legalisation of assisted suicide in Victoria
A parliamentary inquiry has recommended the legalisation of assisted dying in Victoria for those suffering a terminal illness.
The 300 page report was tabled in state parliament on Thursday after a 10-month investigation into end of life choices.
The committee says the current laws are inconsistent and need to change.
Margaret Fitzherbert was on the committee and told Neil Mitchell the recommendations weren’t pro-euthanasia.
‘It’s not quite that simple,’ she said on 3AW Mornings.
