Parking crackdown in Stonnington to make up $100,000 short-fall in fines
If you park your car in Melbourne’s inner south-east, you might want to watch that meter.
Inspector numbers in the City of Stonnington have been boosted and they will work more hours to make up a reported $100,000 short-fall in fines.
But Mayor of Stonnington, councillor Claude Ullin, denied it showed there was a quota.
‘I wouldn’t call it a quota,’ he explained on 3AW Breakfast.
But we’re not so sure.
