Paramedicine graduates left in the dark by Ambulance Victoria

Lisa is a parent of a recent graduate of paramedicine at Monash University and joined 3AW Drive this afternoon to talk about the struggle paramedicine graduates are having finding a job.

Lisa’s daughter applied for a job in November last year and received an automated message from Ambulance Victoria. Since then Lisa’s daughter and the other 83 graduates haven’t received any further messaging from Ambulance Victoria.

“Sad for everyone, sad for paramedics in Victoria and sad for the general public that are waiting for ambulances,” Lisa said on 3AW Drive.

“There’s a couple of them (graduates) that have gone interstate or overseas.”
