Pakistan ‘hitting boundaries for fun’ as Australia lets early advantage slip
The third Test between Australian and Pakistan is finely poised after an action-packed opening day at the SCG.
The Aussies were in a commanding position early, but let that advantage slip after allowing Pakistan to put on a 86-run 10th wicket partnership, led by Aamer Jamal who made 82 runs.
Sports reporter Ed Bourke said Australia didn’t heed the lessons from the Ashes, where they also struggled at times to bowl to the English tailenders.

“I don’t think they learnt the lessons they got when they bowled to (tailender) Mark Wood in the Ashes,” he told Matt Granland on Wide World of Sports.
“Jamal was hitting boundaries for fun and it was a very entertaining innings.”
Australia will resume at 0-6 on day two, chasing Pakistan’s first-innings score of 313.
