‘Our city has slipped’: Tom Elliott’s ideas to fix Melbourne
The Committee for Melbourne has released a report on Melbourne’s livability, and it’s led Tom Elliott to state “our city has slipped”.
In the latest Benchmarking report, which compares Melbourne against 19 “peer cities” including London, Berlin, San Francisco, Singapore and Sydney, it found Melbourne to be top of the rankings for tram network, but but fell from second to seventh for inclusivity, wellbeing, connectivity, housing and business attraction.
“Melbourne is not as good a place to live as it used to be,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
