Ongoing DP World industrial strikes leaves small businesses with no answers and no stock
Industrial strikes continue at the docks with the Maritime Union seeking a 27.5 per cent pay rise from DP World, but small businesses are caught in the middle with no way to get their stock.
Owner of Vanders Mirrors in Geelong, Zoe Smith, says while she supports the strikes, she still can’t access products which arrived weeks ago.
“They’re just sitting in the water, we can’t get access to them, we don’t have proper updates for our customers, each few days we get a delay email of further and further emails,” she told Neil Mitchell.
