‘One of the most wasted talents’: Matthew Lloyd reacts to reported Tarryn Thomas ban

Matthew Lloyd spent time at North Melbourne’s Arden Street base as part of a pre-season briefing on Monday, coincidentally at the same time news of Tarryn Thomas’ 18-week AFL suspension broke.

As reported by Channel 9’s Tom Morris, Thomas is set for a long stint on the sidelines after more domestic violence allegations came to light in recent weeks.

“You can sense the way they were talking (the Tarryn Thomas issue) was draining (for them),” he told Sam McClure on Wide World of Sports.

“I’d put him in the Harley Bennell bracket, he’ll be lost to football and he’ll be one of the most wasted talents we’ve ever seen in the game.”
