One dead after horror Hume Freeway truck crash

One person has died following a collision in the state’s north-east.

Two trucks collided on the Hume Freeway just after midnight.

One of the drivers, who is yet to be identified, was killed.

The driver of the other vehicle was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

The freeway is closed south-bound, with traffic expected to be diverted at the Violet Town exit for several hours.
