One councillor’s plan to combat youth crime
Following a rise in youth crime, one councillor at Hume City Council has released a plan to combat the increase.
Councillor Jack Medcraft, says the courts should be threatening youth offenders with jail and parents should be made accountable with penalties.
“Someone’s got to take the blame, I just think repeat offenders … they should have a curfew and they should be wearing a bracelet on their ankle for two years,” he told Tom Elliott.
