One arrest, two on the run after terrifying Albion home invasion
Three men have used knives from the occupant’s own kitchen to threaten residents of a home in Melbourne’s outer-west overnight.
The trio entered the home on Anderson Road, Albion about 11.30pm last night through an unlocked front door.
Five men live at the home, one of whom, a 32-year-old man, was asleep on the couch.
The burglars held a knife to the man’s throat, after snatching knives from the kitchen, before making off with a number of items including the victim’s car.
Shortly after the trio crashed the car into a fence on Churchill Avenue in Braybrook, before taking off, crashing it again and running from the scene.
Sunrise reporter Nathan Templeton told 3AW Breakfast police have made one arrest.
“They actually smashed through a brick fence in this row of townhouses and then crashed it again,” Nathan said.
“The 21-year-old was found near the crash site.”

Police are still looking for the other two offenders.
Due to the state the 21-year-old was found in, it’s believed all three were heavily intoxicated during the incident.

One of the five occupants was sleep in the couch when the offenders stormed in. He had a knife held to his throat. He’s uninjured but is now reconsidering whether Melbourne is safe enough for his wife and children to join him here from India.
