‘No draw is ever perfect for any team’: Jeff Kennett tees off at Hawthorn’s 2019 fixture

Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett has blasted his side’s 2019 fixture, labelling it disrespectful.

In a statement released to mebers on Thursday afternoon, Kennett said the fixture “does not entirely respect” the club.

He said it doesn’t truly take into the account what the Hawks had “done for the AFL” in the last decade.

“No draw is ever perfect for any team,” he said on the club’s website.

“We have only been allocated one Friday night home game and no Thursday night encounter.”
