New pasta brand pays tribute to a Carlton great
A new pasta brand named after an iconic Carlton footballer has just hit shelves across Melbourne.
The ‘Sergio Valentino’ pasta line is named in honour of Sergio Silvagni, who died in July 2021.
Silvagni’s daughter Lisa, and her husband, are behind the pasta line.
“Dad did have a wicked sense of humour so he would have thought it hilarious that my husband and I lagged on this and didn’t quite get to show it to him before he passed away,” she told Stephen Quartermain and Elise Elliott, filling in for Ross and Russel.
“I think he would have been chuffed.”
Sergio Valentino pasta is available at specialty stores. Visit gippslandcheese.com.au to see stockists.
