New data reveals uptick in young Australians using illicit drugs

Recent data from the National Drug Strategy Household Survey has revealed an increase of young people taking drugs.
Adjunct professor at the national drug research institute at Curtin University, Dr Nicole Lee, says cocaine use is on the rise.
“It’s been a trend for the last twenty years, there was a little jump in 2019, and that’s been maintained or just a little higher this year,” she said.
