Network Ten pinches Melbourne Cup from Seven in record deal
The race that stops the nation is heading to Channel 10.
The TV network has pinched the rights to the Melbourne Cup from Channel 7.
The $100 million deal is a five-year agreement, starting from next year.
The other three days of the Flemington carnival, Derby Day, Oaks Day and Stakes Day, will also be broadcast on Channel 10.
It’s the biggest deal in the history of the Victoria Racing Club.
Racing.com will still be able to broadcast live coverage of those events as part of the agreement.
