Neil Mitchell’s impromptu chat with Collins St climate protester

As the Extinction Rebellion protesters swarmed upon the Collins St-Spencer St intersection this morning, Neil Mitchell used the 9AM news bulletin as an opportunity to make his way to street-level.

He broadcast his program from the protest for nearly half an hour.

At one point, protester Luke approached Neil to make a comment.

He was on-air for more than six minutes.
