Neil Mitchell’s ‘fear’ if the Voice is mentioned at the Pies vs Demons clash

Neil Mitchell says he “hopes” the Wurundjeri elder giving the Welcome to Country at tonight’s MCG clash between Collingwood and Melbourne doesn’t mention the Voice to Parliament.

The 3AW Mornings host says he “fears” the reaction if the Voice is brought up.

CEO of the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and one of the authors of the Uluru Statement, Jill Gallagher, says she doesn’t think people would boo a mention of the Voice.

“I don’t expect that Australians would behave like that,” she said.
