Neil Mitchell has put former Premier Daniel Andrews and Attorney-General of Victoria Jaclyn Symes in the firing line in light of the news serial killer Paul Denyer will stay behind bars for life.

The 3AW Mornings host took a swipe at Andrews, saying he wouldn’t keep Denyer behind bars for life when he was Premier because of “political bloody mindedness”.

He also claimed Symes “should have regrets” after she initially supported the decision for Denyer to be allowed parole.

“It’s one of the most pleasing, most important little victories I’ve been ever been privileged to be part of in my entire journalistic career,” he said.
