Neil Mitchell slams ‘farcical’ state of politics in Australia
Neil Mitchell has slammed the ‘farcical’ state of politics in Australia and the dual citizenship scandal.
The 3AW Mornings host took aim at Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, as well as opposition leader Bill Shorten.
It follows the latest twist in the tale, with Liberal Stephen Parry confessing on Tuesday he may also be a dual citizen.
“C’mon!? He’s been sitting there watching this all unfold and watched the High Court rule and now he comes forward,” Neil Mitchell said.
“If it was a member of my staff in a similar situation, they’d be looking for a new job.
“There should have been a full audit months ago, but neither Bill Shorten or Malcolm Turnbull want it.
“Why? Because they are worried about what it will find.
“It’s going to happen eventually.
“This is farcical.
“It’s an embarrassment to the country.
“It’s been handled in such a clumsy fashion it makes you shudder about the way they do other things.”
Neil Mitchell then went on to criticise the Prime Minister further.
“I really don’t think he gets politics, sometimes,” he said.
