Neil Mitchell reacts to ‘morally reprehensible’ manipulation of Victoria’s voting system

Neil Mitchell says Victorians should be dismayed after a bombshell video exposed Victoria’s electoral voting system being manipulated through sham political parties and the “sale” of seats.

He says Daniel Andrews must come out today and promise to change the law, should he be re-elected as Premier as expected later this month.

“It is an insult to democracy, whether it is legal, or not,” he said.

Victoria’s Legislative Council is the only jurisdiction in Australia where group voting tickets are still allowed.
