Neil Mitchell interviews Tony Abbott today on 3AW

Tony Abbott has spoken to Neil Mitchell in his first Melbourne interview since being dumped as Prime Minister.

Mr Abbott spoke about his tenure, removal and future in politics.

He revealed he’s ‘exchanged texts’ with Malcolm Turnbull but stopped short of saying he’d forgiven him.

‘There’s obviously been a lot of dirty water under the bridge,’ he said.

‘I guess, in time, more things are more readily understood, more readily accommodated and seen in proper perspective.’
