Neil Mitchell hits out at ‘grubby’ documentary on Princess Diana

Neil Mitchell says a “grubby” documentary on Princess Diana shouldn’t be aired.

The film, which features private video tapes discussing her sex life, marital problems and strained relationship with the royal family, is set to be aired in Britain.

“It’s revealing, it’s intimate, it’s tacky and I think it’s unnecessary,” Neil Mitchell said.

The 3AW Mornings host asked whether there had been a more loved figure in Australia in recent times.

“I remember when she died, it was the most talkback calls I’ve ever received on any topic, including September 11,” he said.
