Neil Mitchell details ‘chaos’ in Victoria’s fines system
Neil Mitchell has revealed drivers facing infringements including possible licence suspensions remain in limbo amid delays linked to a major overhaul of Victoria’s civic compliance system.

Neil Mitchell: There is something going on here. Something wrong. And it could mean, people who are driving, shouldn’t be. And people who aren’t, could be.
John, which is not his real name, told Neil Mitchell he lost his licence for six months after being booked for speeding in December.
He was handed a handwritten infringement, and hasn’t driven since.
“I’ve gotten on the VicRoads site and it is saying my licence is current,” he said.
“I’ve tried to pay the fine – the fine doesn’t exist.
“I don’t know where I stand.”
