Neil Mitchell calls on Malcolm Turnbull to ‘dump’ controversial policy

Neil Mitchell has called on Malcolm Turnbull to dump the Coalition’s Transition to Retirement scheme.

The 3AW Mornings host said the political confusion and controversy surrounding the policy was undermining his leadership.

Julie Bishop became the second senior minister to be caught out on the policy while being interviewed by Neil Mitchell on Tuesday.

‘Malcolm Turnbull has got to dump it, because it’s undermining his campaign,’ Neil Mitchell said.

‘It’s showing the whole campaign to be dishonest.

‘His own ministers don’t understand it ? if they don’t ? what hope do the rest of us have?’
