Neil Mitchell calls for Melbourne supporters to ‘pull their heads in’ after Sunday’s loss

Neil Mitchell has called for Melbourne supporters to “pull their heads in” after footage emerged of abuse being hurled at the players as they walked off the ground at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

The former 3AW Mornings host thought the Demons played a “disgraceful” game against the Kangaroos, losing by 59 points, but thought the abuse by some supporters was “going a step too far”.

“I think it’s wrong, whether it be a Carlton supporter or a Melbourne supporter,” Mitchell said on 3AW Afternoons.

“Of course you’re upset, but you don’t treat people that way.”
