Neil Mitchell at The Royal Children’s Hospital
Neil Mitchell was at the Royal Children’s Hospital for the Good Friday Appeal.
Remy is the face of the appeal, his parents Jen and Matt spoke with 3AW Mornings.
At just eight-months-old, Remy had two surgeries to remove the tentacle of tumour that was spreading through his brain.
‘He’s developing as he should for his age, regained all the movement back in his left side that was all impaired,’ Jen said on 3AW Mornings.
‘We couldn’t be happy with the outcome and be more thankful for the hospital and all the staff who looked after him.’

Young Will joined Neil for a chat, the eight-year-old was born with a tumour growing in his abdomen.
His dad Jason says they had to make a decision very early in Will’s life to remove it.
Will had surgery when he was just four-days-old.
‘Now, Will is not really in danger of the tumour reappearing, but he has been left with a spinal injury,’ Jason told Neil Mitchell.
‘For many people when you find out your child is sick, it’s something you don’t expect.
‘There are a lot of challenges you have to meet.’
Will says he is going to participate in a guard of honour for the Western Bulldogs in Friday’s game.
On that note he says, ‘Go Doggies!’
