Mystery surrounds man rescued from Docklands ledge
A man has been rescued after spending the night on the ledge of a Docklands high rise.
Emergency services were called the scene on Collins Street at about 8.45am.
However, police said the man had actually been on the ledge ? about five storeys high ? all night.
He was not threatening self-harm.
Two firefighters reached him using a cherry-picker.
He seemed physically fine, but looked confused as he walked into the cherry-picker and brought down to safety.
The man, dressed in a tracksuit with green shorts, is speaking with police and being assessed by paramedics.
It’s still unclear why he was up there, or how he got there.
