‘My hands are tied’: Frankston healthcare director breaks down in tears over forced shutdown
The director of Frankston Healthcare which provides methadone to drug-addicted patients which opened it’s doors for the last time today has broken down in tears.
Nadia Siciliano says both her staff and the patients have been crying.
“My patients … have been begging me ‘What are we going to do on Monday? Where are we going to get our methadone?’ she told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.

She also says the state government should look at directing money into private practices who provide methadone.
“91 per cent of methadone patients go to private practices,” she said.
