‘My best friend’: Two Victorian MPs throw their support behind Renee Heath
Two Victorian MPs have vouched for Liberal MP Renee Heath after Opposition Leader John Pessuto reportedly accused her of being behind a leak to the media.
Mr Pessuto reportedly reduced Ms Heath to tears with a verbal attack accusing her of leaking the minutes of the meeting to determine the fate of suspended MP Moira Deeming. Ms Heath denies doing so.
Speaking to Neil Mitchell during their fortnightly segment, Liberal MP Joe McCracken said Ms Heath is his “best friend” and the way she’s been treated is “really hard to see”, while Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell said she “potentially misjudged” Ms Heath.
