Mornington Peninsula soccer pitch accidentally ripped up four weeks into season

A Mornington Peninsula council has accidentally ripped up a soccer pitch four weeks into the season.

Mornington Soccer Club was devastated to find its main pitch damaged this week.

Thankfully, it wasn’t intentional.

The soccer club has been in contact with the council, which blamed a contractor mix-up.

Ready-made turf will be brought in to fix the pitch early next week.
