More than a dozen people arrested over Metropolitan Remand Centre riot
Thirteen people have been arrested over the Metropolitan Remand Centre riot in June.
The incident – which came ahead of the statewide prison smoking ban – caused around $25 million in damage.
Police say more than 100 inmates played a role in the riot.
Detectives made consecutive arrests across Melbourne from 4am on Thursday morning – the 13 men will be interviewed in relation to a number of offences – including sabotage.
Investigators have also questioned men still incarcerated.
