More than 250 parents, teachers and students have rallied behind a much loved lollipop man, after he was banned from giving high-fives to children by the Yarra Ranges Council.

The story broke on the Rumour File yesterday morning, and has caused much outrage in the community since, with a petition organised by Rohan Bradley to have the high-five reinstated.

“Hopefully we’ll be looking at a turnaround in this decision and a change of heart from the council I hope,” Mr Bradley told Ross and Russ.
