Monash Councillor Geoff Lake says local councils should also be on notice

America’s decision to elect Donald Trump president has undoubtedly shaken up politics around the world.

But it should also put local councils on notice, says Monash Councillor Geoff Lake.

‘What it does show us is that politics is changing,’ he told Tom Elliott on Thursday.

He said people were increasingly ‘fed up’ with any leader who did not do what they were put in power to do.
