Missy Higgins opens up about her tribute song to Aylan Kurdi
The world mourned when photos surfaced of a young asylum seeker, Aylan Kurdi, who had drowned on his way to Europe.
Musician Missy Higgins was no exception, and she responded by doing what she does best.
She wrote a song.
‘I guess it’s my way of processing things that I’m struggling with,’ she told Denis Walter.
‘My own little boy was about seven months old at the time. It was just really raw.’
Missy also informed her fans that she’s planning a tour for later in the year.
