‘Mischief making’: Heidi Murphy questions Lily D’Ambrosio on gas ban by stealth
Heidi Murphy has questioned Victorian Energy Minister Lily D’Ambrosio on whether she’s trying to sneak clauses through the parliament to allow a regulator to put bans on plumbers fixing existing gas connections in homes.
Ms D’Ambrosio claimed “we need to take practical steps to reduce our reliance on gas”, but the 3AW Drive fill-in host stated people would like the choice to either switch to electric or stay with gas.
“That’s a mischief making technicality minister isn’t it?” Murphy said.
