Mip’s chips: One woman’s search for Melbourne’s perfect fries

One woman’s quest to find the perfect chip has seen her gather thousands of fried-food-fanatic-followers on Instagram as she reviews the best fries around town.

As reported in The Herald Sun, chip expert and founder of Mip’s Chips Instagram page Michelle Easson’s journey has taken from from the city’s finest dining experiences to neighbourhood fish and chip shops.

Michelle told Kate and Quarters she normally goes a taste tests a new chip about once a week.

“It used to be more frequent, but obviously it’s not advisable to be eating chips every day as much as I’d love to!” She said.

“It started five years ago as a bit of a joke, then people started to follow me and send me recommendations.”

Michelle said her perfect chip is “crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle.”
