Mills or Daniel? Lloydy makes a call on the 2016 Rising Star

Matthew Lloyd has anointed Callum Mills as the 2016 Rising Star.

Mills and Bulldog Caleb Daniel are regarded as the front-runners for the award this year.

Lloyd said Mills’ leadership during the Swans’ win over the Kangaroos belied his years.

‘He was directing everyone, he read the play beautifully,’ he said.

‘I think Mills is just in front of Daniel.’

Gerard Healy said the Swans wouldn’t have beaten North Melbourne without Mills, but Daniel was also exceptional for the Dogs.
