Mike Sheahan calls for Wayne Carey to be made Hall of Fame legend

Mike Sheahan has called on the AFL to make Wayne Carey a legend of the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

The former Herald Sun Chief Football Reporter says it was time the AFL made the call, noting that his omission was largely due to his off-field issues during his playing days.

“There’s a lot of people who have skeletons in the cupboard,” he said on 3AW Football.

“And some of them are legends.”
