Mick Warner accuses the AFL of wilful blindness over sledging

Mick Warner has accused the AFL of wilful blindness with regard to sledging.

A melee erupted between Carlton and St Kilda last week after and exchange of words between the two teams.

Herald Sun journo Warner told 3AW Football they could find out what was said if they wanted to – but they don’t.

“If the AFL really wanted to find out, they’d (go to) those on-field microphones,” Mick said on Friday night.

“Those comments would have been picked up. They’re always on.”
