Melbourne’s Airport Rail Link project in jeopardy

Melbourne’s Airport Rail Link project is in jeopardy, after federal infrastructure minister Catherine King claimed the project was under review.

It comes as a backflip, as the federal government insisted the project wouldn’t go under review two weeks ago, but Ms King said she misspoke.

Associate Professor in sustainability and urban planning at RMIT, Andrew Butt, believes the federal government may have “hit their limits” in the budget.
