Melbourne Zoo mourns the loss of Vang the White-cheeked gibbon

Melbourne Zoo is mourning the loss of one of its oldest and most-loved monkeys.

Vang the White-cheeked gibbon has sadly lost her battle with diabetes, which she’d been battling for the past five years.

The Zoo describes her as a ‘beautiful and sweet-natured individual’.

At 46-years-old, she doubled her species’ average life expectancy.
