Melbourne told to ‘hold firm’ on Clayton Oliver as trade period unfolds
Former AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou is urging Melbourne to “hold firm” on wantaway midfielder Clayton Oliver.
The Demons are continuing to say publicly the gun on-baller isn’t up for trade, despite Oliver meeting with Geelong last week.

“Absolutely I would (be holding firm if I was Melbourne),” Demetriou said on 3AW.
“You can’t have consecutive years of this (unrest) going on, the uncertainty that surrounds is not really want you want to see.”
