Melbourne International Comedy Festival cancelled

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been cancelled.

It was due to start on March 25 and run until April 19.

The event, a huge drawcard for the Melbourne, is the latest event to be impacted by coronavirus.

The news comes after the government said all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled.
