Melbourne faces commuter chaos as strike action looms
Melbourne faces a day of a commuter chaos on what’s shaping as a wet and wintry Friday, with thousands of bus drivers planning to walk off the job.
The Transport Workers Union says it has “hit a brick wall” with negotiations with bus companies Ventura and Dyson.
Mike McNess from the TWU told Tom Elliott the 24-hour action would commence on Friday morning.
“We apologise to the public, it’s always a last resort, but this is the point we’ve hit in the negotiations,” he said.
