Medibank hackers release all data onto dark web
Hackers have released the data of 9.7 million Medibank customers onto the dark web.
It comes after the health insurance company refused to pay the ransom demanded by the hackers.

Technology analyst Trevor Long said now that the data is public it will be used by other cyber criminals.
“This data, now that it sits on the dark web, will be gathered up by other cyber criminals,” he told Neil Mitchell on 3AW Mornings.
“And it will begin to be published, and more importantly it will be used by those cyber criminals to try and essentially blackmail us as individuals.”
