Matthew Richardson weighs in on latest bombshell Joel Smith drug allegations

Bombshell drug trafficking allegations against Joel Smith would “send off alarm bells” for Melbourne supporters, according to Matthew Richardson.

The Demons are dealing with fresh drugs claims on the eve of the season, with Smith accused of drug trafficking while already provisionally suspended for a match day positive drugs test.

“When you hear that word trafficking, it just sends off alarm bells,” Richardson told Wide World of Sports.

“To add that to the allegations already of the match day positive (drug) test, it’s not good news.
