Matthew Richardson says potential AFL wildcard round is ‘purely a financial thing’

Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of talk around a potential wildcard round in the AFL, which would take place the week before the Finals series.

Matthew Richardson was asked if he supports the idea of the wildcard round on Wide World of Sports, which he answered with a categorical no.

“It’s purely a financial thing, we have got enough games as it is,” Richardson said on Wide World of Sports.
